Tia has met a wonderful boy, Zac, he is from Connecticut, and We jus love him. He plays hockey and is Attending Plymouth State University, Plymouth New Hampshire...that being said...My girl is moving to the East Coast in August. I am real sad, but super excited all the same, if that is possible. He is a joy to have around and I can't wait for him to be here in July so we can really get to know him a whole lot better before they leave for their new adventure...

Kennedy is WONDERFUL, and active...SPORTS - sports - SPORTS.. Fastpitch Softball, Hockey, Soccer...all summer long. She will be in 9th grade next year (thats right...Senior HIGH) so what can I say, she grew up WAY TO FAST!!!

Bring on summer and Campering, I can't wait!!! HUGS!!! laurie

Brent and I celebrated our 15 Year Anniversary this Year.... can wait to see what the future holds
THE PAST IS HISTORY, THE FUTURE IS A MYSTERY AND TODAY IS A GIFT - THATS WHY THEY CALL IT THE PRESENT!!!
Here is Tia and her Grandma's (Granda Sharon and Great Grandma Denis) at our Annual Denis WOMAN Christmas get-together Play... I love this time of year, I love everything about my family and would not trade them for the world!!!

PENALTY BOX??---------------------->>>>>>

Well here it is already February...can't believe where the time goes, it is crazy... Kennedy started the year in hockey on the 12A team, and that was just not the right fit for her, we pushed the issues and had her evaluated and push some more, and Finally after 2 months of discussions, and only 15 days left of final roster dealines, she was moved up to the U14A team, and it has been a success ever since... she loves her teammates and this level of Hockey...

Here she is in her NORMAL "dizz" stance and ready for that Face off!!

This chicky has a passion and HOCKEY is it!! we are forever in this for the LONG hall....

LONG OVERDUE update!!!

Tia is a Sophmore at St. Cloud State University, she LOVES the College Life, she lives right downtown St. Cloud, within walking distance to the College... It was a really sad day when she moved out, but is loves that whole grown up life style. She moved in with a Girl she knew from high school (and a stranger - who Tia claims she is allergic to...) but it is going fast and furious for her....

So on July 25 Kennedy turned 13, I know it is crazy to think, but full on teenager. And It is a HOOT so far...just hard to believe that they are growing up so fast!!!
Kennedy still is a 3 sport Kid...Soccer/HOCKEY/Fast Pitch Softball...

We don't know the outcome of her playing Hockey yet this year, Kennedy needs to play at a higher level, and she is 25 daystoo young, we did put in a waiver to move her up, but she has been denied by the Youth Hockey Association, soooo in turn Kennedy does not know if she will skate this year. For she will SKATE CIRCLES around this younger less skilled team, SO Kennedy is still on the decision Fence about playing... I will keep y'all up to date when she decides...

OTHER than THAT - life is smooth sailing and we are having fun!!!!

It has been a while - but...

One of the most amazing things that can happen to a parent is know that when they get out in the REAL world, all the things you have taught them, really works.

Tia is succeeding in College, she love it and is doing real well. We are so Proud of her and all her acheivements. She continues to teach dance with Just For Kix, I think it truely is a calling for her to instruct others in something she has such a passion for. Tia did change her major and is going to Major in Psycology (sp.) and away she goes...

Kennedy is still playing hockey and loving hockey and skates anytime she can. She was fortunate enough to be able to have 2 vacations this winter... one with us, on a family vacation to Mexico, and one with her Aunt and Uncle on a cruize ... I think she could become a good traveler.. she like her first 2 experiences so far...

Life is speeding us by, we are trying to slow down, but does not seem to be happening as quickly as we had planned.

So we Bought a Camper this Summer, decided it was about time to get out and do stuff like we use to. We got stuck in a rut there for a while, where were weren't doing a whole lot. We have missed going on the weekends. So now we have out little Vacation Home on Wheels. Big Enough to fit all of us PLUS Grandma!!! Our First Outing was a easy one, we went to the Cabin on Mille Lacs for the 4th of July... It was SO SO SO much fun, the kids Played in the Water the whole weekend, Jet-Skiiing, Tubing, Fishing... (Plus my Cousin's Girlfriend welcomed their First Baby) what an exciting Time... Nothing Better than Family Fishing Fun with Friends!!!

So we took this Picture at Tia's Grad party, we don't take many family pics, just cause we are all such goof balls and can never get it where we are all looking or making a straight face. This one was nice, I will probably treasure it forever!!!

I am sad that Tia is graduated and all growed up, but I am also happy that she is going to make it in the big world. She has such drive and determination that I know she will do good and make it far, SHE deserves it!! like I have always Said "We are very Proud"

Kennedy has been doing Great too ( I always have to get a blurp in about her) She has a tough time with the really humid days, but still goes strong. She is Playing Summer Soccer, and has 2 hockey Camps all Summer, so is will be good to go when the Hockey Season Starts, Plus I think she is going to try Soccer At School this Fall... OH YEAH she is Going into 7th GRADE..AUGH!!! she turns 12 on July 25th... We are going to to to the Wild Mountian for the Day - and then we are headed to our Friends Camper (Seasonal) with our Camper for the weekend of her Birthday - SO WE ARE GOING TO PARTY!!! Kennedy usually goes to Fargo with Grandma Sharon and Great Grandma Bonnie for a few days in July to See Great Grandma Bonnie's Aunts (yeah thats right my Grandmas AUNTS) But I guess this year they are not going to be able to make that trip, Maybe later in the Fall...

Hope everyone's summer is WONDERFUL... Stay Safe and Healthy!!! LOVE ME (jett)

Here is Brent and Kennedy at Tia's Grad Party... and a few friends playing games,...

Here is Tia and Kennedy at the Night of Graduation, all grown up and ready for anything!!

Well Oh my gosh it has been for ever since I updated, life just get away from me I tell ya.

So Tia is all graduated from high school, with honors, and ready to take on the world. She is still working for Carrie Johnson, but also just obtained a job at the Sartell Gold Course. She wants to enjoy the heck out of life and the summer, before she is old and has to pay for real life.

She decided to stay in town and attend Saint Cloud State, for at least the first year. So so far she will be occupying our basement, she really wanted to move out, and a few things fell through. So we will let her stay at home and live her life... she is an adult now, so now is the time to live it up.

Kennedy is in Soccer this summer and playing hockey, two of her favorite things todo, so she will keep us busy with running and watching, I love it..

We decided we missed going camping, we always can go to the Cabin, but having out own place gives us flexability...so we bought a camper, just a 2004 Pop-up, sleeps 8, that way Grandma and Kennedy (and a friend can be with). 4th of july will be our first outting, and should be fun, just like always... boating, tubing, fishing - enjoying friends and family, thats what it is all about!

I will try to keep better updates, life won't pass me by just yet...oh yea, amoungst it all I turned 40, Go FIGURE...

2008-2009 Sauk Rapids Storm Dance Team (absent Brianna Tvedt)
and all their awards and recognitions, what a great season these girls have had.
Storm Dance Team-Misti, Shyla, Megan, Tia 2008-2009 Seniors

So Tia's had her Dance Banquet this past weekend, what fun it was, and Sad..Being this it her last Hurrah....what a fun ride this past year was between the ups and downs of normal girls stuff, it was Awesome.

I can't believe all the "lasts" we are experiencing, it is so odd!! I will be ok though, you watch!!

Kennedy tried out for a AAA Hockey Team these past two weekends, she had a blast skating with some of the girls that were not on her team last year (being we had 2 U12 teams). She skated her heart out, unfortunately she didn't make the team (too many politics with that whole issue) but she did have fun, and that is what it is all about for her. She will be playing soccer this summer again, and be attending many camps for Hockey, along with Speed and Stength at School. We try to keep her busy, cause she gets bored quickly, especially if she has nothing going on.
Brent and I are well, we are busy planning some vacations and fun stuff to do this summer. We are hoping to go on a Bigger Family Vacation next Christmas, with us and my mom.
Kennedy made the "B" Honor Rol this trimester...and Tia made the "A" Honor Roll which is something we strive to have our kids do... And one Last think, Tia took 1st Place at the STATE DECA CONFERENCE in March, and she is headed to NATIONALS in California April 27. WOW is all Brent and I can say, we don't know where that girl gets her Drive...but we are proud.
Be SAFE, and HAPPY 'start' of SPRING!!!

Sunday, March 1, 2009

Kennedy and Rachel were the Captains Team, Kennedy is such a team Player and leader, I am so proud of her. Hockey has made her grow so much.
Here is Kennedy, in her last game of the season, she didn't play the last Month, due to being ill..

This past weekend has been wonderful, not only did I get to spend good quality time with my girls and Brent, but My aunt and a few cousins came over along with some friends and we had a great afternoon, laughing and chit chatting...

Us "girl" cousins are planning a Casino Night at Treasure Island, it is going to be so much fun, we don't get together much anymore, so for us to get together for the night, I CAN'T Wait.

Then comes Sunday Morning, and I am on the computer, and one of my Cousins from My dad's side contacted me to chat, I was thrilled, the amazing internet keeps me connected with everyone. Life is just too short to let those close to us fall through the cracks. I even Chatted with an Friend in the Phillipines this morning, how weird is that, who would have thought that you could just chat across the world as if you were sitting on the phone...

My mom is settling in good with being with out a job, we are helping her out alot with things. She get so bored, so keeping busy is very important.

Happy Week Everyone...HUG your KIDS (before you know it they will be graduating and going to college!!!)

So Tia recorded a commericial for the Radio Station 104.7 KCLD for Carrie Johnson Bridal/Prom by Carrie (her employer) it was so fun going there and watching her do her thing. After they were all done and the 30 sec. Commercial was on the Radio, they called her back in to add more to it, and suggested that maybe she might want to job shadow/Intern there, I know Go FIGURE right.. but thats Tia, got to get into everything... We are really proud of everything she does!!
Kennedy still is under the Weather, not playing Hockey yet, she is fighting this virus off, but we are getting there. She misses hangin with her friends, but it is for the best (she doesn't get that)
This weekend is Tia's Last Dance Competition, SECTIONS, if they make top 4 The Team goes to state, which is the weekend of Feb 13th, it would be so exciting for the team to make it to state, especially for Tia, being a Senior.

Thursday, January 22, 2009

So this Past Weekend Jan 16-18 we were in Mankato for a Hockey Tournament, My Mom came with. Kennedy's team did ok, they won their first game, and it has been a rough year, so that Win was Big.

Kennedy really ended up being sick the whole weekend, we ended up in the ER on Saturday, cause when Kennedy would cough she would choke (yeah that was nice) her lips turned blue and that was about it for me. So we Checked out the Mankato Hospital and ER, now we are good, when (if) Tia goes there...lol

She ended up getting Pertussis (form a whooping cough) but with out the Bark. It has been great, we have been home with her all week, but nothing better than hangin out at home to get better.

Tia had a Dance Competition in Eden Prairie and the varsity Jazz Team took Second... AWESOME, only 2 more competitions before Sections and crossing our fingers that they make it to State, they have it in them... I am hoping!!

So after the sucky weeek, I am hoping for the weekend and loooking forward to the beginning of next week and getting all back to normal.

They are all such goof offs, and always working towards a photo opportunity.

Won't be long on the Dad's arms won't Be able to fit aournd both girls at once. YA THINK.

Also won't be long before Kennedy is taller than Tia. That girl is growning like a weed.. I don't know how tall she will get, I bet she is taller than Tia and I.

Ok so I am so really bad a keeping up with this whole Blogging thing, there is so much happening with the girls and Brent and I - Lets seee ----- This Pic here was taken at Thanksgiving, it was super duper fun to be together with all the family and such, we don't get to do that very often.

Kennedy is in Hockey and again an awesome defense"girl" she is out to get 'em all. and Tia is on the Varsity Dance Team both Jazz and Kick - she is an over acheiver for sure.

We are missing the heck out of family and friends. We don't do much these days except run with the chicks. Thats ok thought I am totally COOL WITH IT.

I will get all the information and maybe a few pics about Christmas. We had so much fun this holiday, more family time, less "what'd we get time" it was truely awesome.

SO a quick to do FOR TODAY

WHOA Tia's Birthday is coming Fast - 18 on the 9th of October (who ever thought she would be this old...not me) I know I have said it over and over, but it is truely hard for me....;)

Tia's Actual Graduation Day is Tuesday May 26, 2009 at SCSU - Hallenbeck Hall..UGH!! How depressing for me, I think I will have to take the next day off....LOL

And her PARTY will be the June 13th, 2009 (invitations to come)

Also this Past weekend, Kennnedy finished up her Fall League of Hockey, and now we move into the Regular Season Starting in October.

School is going really well for both the girls. Brent is working hard as ever, Wood Burning Fireplaces (and Gas) are selling like Hot Cakes, so that means for a busy fall.

This past weekend we did a PAINT THE TOWN service project through my employer, where 340 volunteers painted 14 houses in 8 hours. My family (+ Grandma Sharon) worked all day until the rain delayed our progression and I am so very proud of their efforts. We were all Cold, Wet, and Tired, but no one complained and it is a success. There will be some fixing to do because of the rain, but for the most part, we did some beautiful work.

Here is the PRINCESS TIA on her First day of 12th Grade (we don't say Senior, that is a swear word ...) She is so relaxed with the fact that this is it and that she will be done with High school. The Last First Day of School Pic, The Last Football Game, The Last Dance Shows (which is the First weekend in December.... Mark you Calendars) and so on.... I am going to try to keep up on all her happening. Tia is applying to Mankato, SCSU, UND, and UMD... so we will see what happens. Don't have any worries about boys yet, she still thinks they are dumb... I agree!!! The Computer and her phone are her toys these days... And she like to play Wii... That is about it - Kennedy in a nut shell...not a too complicated kid.
